From my research it is correct for late 1965 and 1966 Pontiac GTO. This is a vintage Hurst shifter with linkage rods, the handle marked 3132. This whole unit will need cleaned up and new bushings, the handle itself has some rust spots so it replanted, also threads look a little short, I don't know how you'd break those off, but its possible, still plenty there to screw knob.
