In late spring early summer 2009, tremec began shipping tko transmissions with a different shiftier than earlier designs. The kit includes a new shiftier top with built in adjustable stops and complete instructions for installation adjustment. As well free shipping applies to the contiguous USA only.

The new shiftier has a 1 piece base that is powder coated wrinkle red. Please let us know at the time of purchase if you would like this to be any different. The shift forks, roll pins, and rails have been known to bend or break from hard shifts. The old shiftier had a 2-piece base that was red anodized.

While the tko gears have a built in stop to prevent over engagement, all of linkage between gear and shiftier is still subject severe shock loading. Steeds stop bolt kit absorbs the shock load and protects shift linkage from damage. Items ship to USA only. The tremec tko 500 and 600 transmissions are hot ticket for high horsepower applications, but they lack a stop bolt in shiftier to prevent over-stressing linkage during hard shifts.
